Trekky Records Adopts a Highway

January 7th, 2008

I’m not sure if they have this all over the United States, but in North Carolina they have the “Adopt a Highway” program in which people adopt a stretch of road to clean up periodically and try to offset the crazy things that people throw out of their windows as they drive. Trekky Records decided to help out and adopt North Greensboro St. in Carrboro, North Carolina. We did our first cleaning last Saturday and it was actually fun! You should definitely consider adopting your own highway. We also found a lot of cool items on the side of the road that we pocketed, including:

-a gun that looks real, but is not
-a full pack of Magnum condoms
-a functional GPS tracking device!

So there you have it, if you adopt a highway you might actually score some sweet gear!
